The Good, The Bad and the Really Ugly

Port City Cafe
2418 14th Street
Gulfport, Mississippi

As with all locations, there is a little of everything.

Beer selection: nothing spectacular.
Food: fair to poor.

The Good: the fried green tomatoes and crab dip - this is as good as it gets. It was delicious and a very good dish.

The Bad: well, for dinner I ordered the stuffed shrimp. What do you think it would be - a large shrimp butterflied and stuffed with crab meat, right? Wrong. This was a small raw shrimp wrapped in a ball of stuffing, and then deep fried. The outside was burnt to the point where it smelled like the bottom of the deep fryer. The first one I bit into and ate didn't have the right consistency for shrimp. The second one I opened up and found the shrimp still raw. The rest were left on the plate uneaten.

And now for The Ugly: Well, you know what happens when you eat a bad shrimp. You spend the rest of the evening in the hotel room evacuating your soul. I don't recommend this place unless you have no taste buds or you're bulimic.
